Acceptable Use Policy

1. Scope

This Acceptable Use Policy applies to everyone who uses LinkMe. It forms part of theLinkMe Terms of Service; capitalised terms have the meaning given there.

LinkMe holds information about real people who are not our users. That makes these rules more than housekeeping — they are how the product stays legitimate for the people in it.

2. The short version

• Record people for professional reasons, not to surveil them.
• Get consent before you record a conversation. All-party consent is the safe assumption.
• Do not record intimate, sensitive or special-category details about people.
• Share only what you are entitled to share, and honour requests to correct or delete.
• Check AI output before you act on it or send it.
• Do not attack, scrape or reverse engineer the app.

3. Recording information about people

You may record information about someone where you have a legitimate professional reason to do so — for example to remember a business conversation, a shared interest they volunteered, or a follow-up you promised. You must not:

• record information about a person you have no professional relationship or prospect of one with;
• record information a person would reasonably expect to remain private, or that they shared in confidence;
• record special-category information — health, disability, sexual orientation, religion, political opinions, trade union membership, racial or ethnic origin, biometric or genetic data;
• record judgements about a person that you would not be willing to defend if they read them — assume one day they might;
• record government identifiers, financial account details or credentials belonging to others;
• build a dossier for the purpose of harassing, stalking, blackmailing, discriminating against or unlawfully profiling a person;
• record information about children; or
• import contact data you obtained unlawfully, purchased without redistribution rights, or scraped in breach of another service's terms.

You are the controller of the information you record. That means honouring valid access, correction and deletion requests from the people concerned, and giving notice where the law requires it.

4. Recording conversations

Specifically, you must not:

• record a conversation covertly, or continue recording after someone objects;
• record in a location or context where recording is prohibited, including many workplaces, medical settings, courts and schools;
• record a call without complying with the telecommunications and wiretap laws that apply to both ends of it; or
• share a recording or transcript with anyone who was not entitled to receive it.

If you cannot obtain consent, dictate your own summary afterwards instead. That is what the product is designed for.

5. Prohibited conduct

Do not use LinkMe to:

• break any law, or help anyone else do so;
• harass, threaten, stalk, intimidate or defame anyone;
• impersonate a person or organisation, or misrepresent your role or affiliation on a shared card;
• send unsolicited commercial messages, or export contacts for spam or cold-outreach campaigns that breach anti-spam law;
• facilitate fraud, phishing, identity theft or financial crime;
• infringe intellectual property, privacy, publicity or confidentiality rights; or
• store or transmit content that is obscene, or that promotes violence, discrimination or self-harm.

6. Sharing and profiles

• Share only information you are entitled to share. Once you share a card, the recipient may pass it on.
• Do not share a third party's contact details as though they were your own, or without their agreement.
• Do not create a claimable profile for a person that misrepresents them.
• Respond promptly if a person asks you to correct or stop sharing information about them.
• Revoke shares you no longer need — a shared card stays live until you do.

7. Responsible use of AI features

Transcriptions, extracted fields, briefings, summaries and suggested follow-ups are generated by AI and may contain errors or invented details, including about real people. You must:

• read AI-drafted messages before sending them;
• verify a fact before repeating it to the person it concerns;
• correct records where the AI has extracted something wrongly; and
• never treat an AI-generated characterisation of a person as an established fact.

You must not use AI features to generate content that impersonates a real person, to fabricate a record of a conversation that did not happen, or to attempt to extract model weights, prompts or provider credentials.

8. Technical restrictions

• Do not reverse engineer, decompile or tamper with the application or its on-device models.
• Do not use bots, scrapers or automation against the app, its APIs or shared web cards.
• Do not circumvent authentication, entitlement checks, rate limits or subscription controls.
• Do not attempt to access another user's account or records.
• Do not probe or test our systems except as described in clause 10.
• Do not resell or provide the Service to third parties without a written agreement with us.

9. Enforcement

We investigate suspected breaches. Depending on severity we may warn you, disable a feature, remove content, suspend or terminate your account, and report unlawful activity to the authorities. We may act immediately and without notice where there is a risk of harm to a person, to other users, or of continuing unlawful conduct.

Terminating your account does not cancel an App Store subscription — cancel that through Apple. See clause 6 of the Terms of Service.

10. Reporting a problem

Report misuse, a profile that concerns you, or a security vulnerability tosupport@dashapi.ai. If you are not a LinkMe user and believe someone holds information about you in the app, clause 14 of thePrivacy Policy explains what we can do. Security researchers: follow the Security Overview — test only your own account, do not access others' data, and give us time to fix an issue before disclosing it.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the product and the law evolve. Material changes will be announced in the app or by email at least 14 days before they take effect.
