Cookie Policy
The cookies and similar technologies used on dashapi.ai and in the DashAPI platform.
Effective: August 1, 2026 | Last updated: August 1, 2026
support@dashapi.ai1. What this policy covers
This policy explains how we use cookies and similar technologies — local storage, session storage and pixel-free analytics events — on dashapi.ai, the LinkMe marketing pages, and the DashAPI web application. It sits alongside our Privacy Policy, which explains how we handle the personal information those technologies produce.
A cookie is a small text file stored on your device by your browser. Similar technologies achieve the same result by other means. We refer to all of them as "cookies" below.
2. Why we use cookies
- to keep you signed in and keep your session secure;
- to remember preferences such as language or interface state;
- to understand which pages and features are used, so we can improve them; and
- to measure whether a marketing campaign brought someone to the site.
3. Categories we use
| Category | Purpose | Examples | Typical lifetime |
|---|---|---|---|
| Strictly necessary | Authentication, session integrity, cross-site request forgery protection, load balancing. The platform cannot work without these, so they are not optional. | Session and CSRF cookies set by the DashAPI application | Session, or up to 30 days where you choose to stay signed in |
| Preferences | Remembering interface choices you have made so you do not have to set them again. | Local storage entries set by the application | Until you clear site data |
| Analytics | Measuring page views, feature usage, campaign attribution and site performance in aggregate. | Google Analytics 4 cookies: _ga, _ga_<container-id> | Up to 24 months |
4. Analytics in detail
We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how our sites are used. It collects your IP address (truncated by Google before storage), device and browser characteristics, the pages you view, and events such as clicking a call to action. We use it in aggregate; we do not use it to identify individual visitors, and we have not enabled Google Signals, advertising features or audience export.
Google acts as our service provider for this purpose. See ourSub-processors page. You can block Google Analytics entirely with Google's opt-out browser add-on, or by blocking the cookies described above.
6. What we do not do
- We do not use advertising or retargeting cookies.
- We do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioural advertising.
- We do not use cookies to build profiles of individuals for automated decisions about them.
- We do not embed third-party social media trackers on our pages.
7. How to control cookies
Every major browser lets you view, block and delete cookies, and offers a private browsing mode. Blocking strictly necessary cookies will break sign-in and other core functions of the platform; blocking analytics cookies has no effect on functionality.
Where local law requires consent for non-essential cookies, we ask for it before setting them, and you can withdraw consent at any time by clearing site data and declining when asked again. You can also email support@dashapi.ai with any cookie question or request.
8. Global Privacy Control and Do Not Track
We honour the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal on our websites and treat it as a valid opt-out request under US state privacy laws. Because browser signals are not linked to an account, we may not be able to apply one to information collected outside the browser that sent it — emailsupport@dashapi.ai to make a broader request. We do not respond to legacy "Do Not Track" headers, which have no agreed standard.
9. Changes to this policy
We update this policy when the technologies we use change. The "last updated" date at the top shows the current version.
