Terms of Service
The agreement between you and DashAPI, Inc. for use of the LinkMe application.
Effective: August 1, 2026 | Last updated: August 1, 2026
support@dashapi.ai1. Summary of key points
This summary is for convenience only. The full Terms below control if there is any inconsistency.
- LinkMe is for professional use by adults. You keep ownership of your notes, records and contacts.
- Most processing happens on your device. Cloud processing happens only where you enable it or where a feature requires it.
- You are responsible for the information you record about other people, and you are the controller of that information.
- Before recording a conversation, get consent from everyone in it. Many places require all-party consent.
- Paid subscriptions are billed by Apple and renew automatically. Cancel and request refunds through the App Store.
- AI output can be wrong. Check it before you act on it.
- Disputes are resolved by individual binding arbitration under Delaware law, with a class action waiver, subject to mandatory local rights.
2. Agreement to these Terms
These Terms of Service (Terms) are a binding agreement between you andDashAPI, Inc., a Delaware corporation (DashAPI, we,us), governing your access to and use of the LinkMe iOS application and related services (the Service).
BY DOWNLOADING, INSTALLING, CREATING AN ACCOUNT FOR, OR USING THE SERVICE, YOU CONFIRM THAT YOU HAVE READ, UNDERSTOOD AND AGREE TO BE BOUND BY THESE TERMS, THEPrivacy Policy AND THE Acceptable Use Policy, EACH INCORPORATED BY REFERENCE. IF YOU DO NOT AGREE, DO NOT USE THE SERVICE.
Where your organisation has signed a separate written agreement with us covering LinkMe, that agreement controls to the extent of any conflict.
3. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter into a binding contract. LinkMe is built for professional use in a business context, not for personal or household use. By using the Service you represent that your use will not breach any law that applies to you, and that if you are using it for an organisation you are authorised to bind that organisation to these Terms.
We may decline or withdraw access to any person or organisation at our discretion.
4. Licence and restrictions
Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable, revocable licence to install and use the application on an Apple device you own or control, for your own professional purposes, in accordance with the Apple App Store terms.
You must not, directly or indirectly:
- copy, modify, translate, reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble or create derivative works of the application, or attempt to extract its source code, models or prompts;
- rent, lease, lend, resell, sublicense or otherwise transfer the application or your account;
- remove or obscure any proprietary notice;
- use the Service to build or improve a competing product, or to run competitive benchmarking without our written consent;
- use bots, scrapers or other automated means to access or extract data from the Service;
- circumvent security features, usage limits or access controls;
- interfere with the Service or with anyone else's use of it; or
- use the Service unlawfully, or help anyone else do any of the above.
5. Accounts
You need an account for most features. Provide accurate information, keep it current, keep your credentials confidential, and tell us at support@dashapi.ai if you suspect unauthorised access. Accounts are personal — do not share or transfer yours. You are responsible for everything done under your account.
6. Subscriptions, billing and refunds
LinkMe offers a free tier and paid plans. Paid plans and prices are shown in the application and on ourpricing page.
6.1 Billing through Apple
Paid subscriptions are sold and billed by Apple through in-app purchase. Payment is charged to your Apple Account on confirmation of purchase, and your purchase is also subject to the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions.
6.2 Automatic renewal
Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each period unless you turn off auto-renew at least 24 hours before the period ends. Your Apple Account is charged for the renewal within 24 hours of the end of the current period at the then-current price.
6.3 Cancellation and refunds
Manage and cancel your subscription in the App Store, not in LinkMe. Open Settings on your device, tap your name, then Subscriptions. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid period. Because Apple is the seller, refund requests must go to Apple — we cannot issue refunds for in-app purchases. Where mandatory consumer law in your country gives you a refund or withdrawal right, that right is unaffected.
6.4 Free trials
A subscription may start with a free trial. Trials are for new subscribers only, and we may limit eligibility to prevent abuse. Unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends, it converts to a paid subscription and Apple charges you.
6.5 Changes to plans and prices
We may change prices and plan inclusions. Price increases for an existing subscription take effect at your next renewal, with the notice Apple requires and, where required, your consent. If you do not accept a change, cancel before the next renewal. If we materially reduce the functionality of a paid tier, we will give reasonable notice so you can cancel before renewal.
6.6 Enterprise and team plans
Team and enterprise plans purchased directly from us are billed under a separate written agreement or order form, which controls pricing, term and payment terms.
7. Your content
You own the notes, voice captures, contact records, profile information and relationship data you create in the Service (Your Content). You grant us a limited, non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to store, process, transmit and display Your Content solely to provide, secure and support the Service for you, including delivering web cards to the recipients you choose and synchronising data where you enable it.
We do not sell Your Content, and we do not use it to train third-party AI models. See clause 12 and thePrivacy Policy.
You are responsible for keeping your own backups of anything critical. On-device data lives under your device's own backup arrangements.
8. Information about other people
LinkMe exists to help you remember people you meet, which means it holds information about individuals who are not our users (Contacts). By recording that information you represent, warrant and undertake that:
- you have a legitimate professional basis for holding it;
- you obtained it lawfully, such as in the course of a professional interaction;
- your collection and use of it complies with applicable privacy law, including the GDPR, UK GDPR, CCPA and equivalents;
- you will not use the Service to harass, stalk, surveil unlawfully, or otherwise harm anyone; and
- you will honour a Contact's request to access, correct or delete the information you hold about them where the law requires it.
You are the data controller for information you record about Contacts. We process it for you as your processor. Responsibility for having a lawful basis, giving notice where required, and answering requests from those individuals rests with you, not with us.
9. Voice capture and recording consent
LinkMe lets you dictate a note after a meeting and turns it into a structured record. Where you use it to capture the voice of anyone other than yourself, additional rules apply.
Get consent before you record. Many jurisdictions — including several US states under wiretap and eavesdropping laws, and most of the EEA and UK under privacy law — require the consent of every party to a conversation before it may be recorded, and before that recording may be shared with a third party such as us or a transcription provider. Obtaining that consent is your responsibility. If you cannot obtain it, dictate your own summary after the fact instead of recording the conversation.
You must not use the Service to record a conversation covertly, to capture information a person would reasonably expect to remain private, or in any location or context where recording is prohibited. You indemnify us for claims arising from your failure to obtain consent — see clause 20.
Voice capture is transcribed on your device by default. Where a feature sends audio or a transcript to the cloud, the application tells you before it happens and ourPrivacy Policy explains the handling and retention that applies.
11. Enrichment
Enrichment features take a limited identifier you provide — a name, email address or company — and retrieve matching business records from third-party data providers (Enrichment Output). Enrichment Output comes from those providers, is not derived from Your Content, and is not owned by you. We grant you a non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use it for your own professional purposes. You must not resell, redistribute, sublicense or publish it. This clause survives termination.
12. AI features and accuracy
LinkMe uses artificial intelligence — including Apple's on-device model frameworks and, where you enable it, cloud models — to transcribe, extract, classify, summarise, brief and draft.
AI output is probabilistic and can be wrong. Briefings, summaries, extracted fields, suggested follow-ups and nudges may contain errors, omissions or invented details, including about real people. Treat them as a prompt for your own judgement, not as a record of fact, and review anything before you send it or rely on it. Do not use AI output as the sole basis for a decision that materially affects a person.
We do not use Your Content to train our own general-purpose models, and our cloud model providers are contractually prohibited from training on it. On-device processing does not send your content to us or to Apple.
13. Organisation accounts and DashAPI sync
If your LinkMe account is provided or paid for by an organisation, or you enable synchronisation with a DashAPI workspace, records you sync become available to that organisation, and its administrators can access, export, retain and delete them under its own policies. Data in a DashAPI workspace is governed by the DashAPI Terms of Service and theDashAPI Privacy Policy. Check with your organisation before syncing records you consider personal.
14. Acceptable use
Your use of the Service is subject to theLinkMe Acceptable Use Policy, which forms part of these Terms and sets out prohibited content and conduct in detail.
15. Intellectual property
The application and everything in it other than Your Content — software, design, interfaces, text, graphics, logos, models and prompts — is owned by us or our licensors and protected by intellectual property laws. These Terms grant a licence to use the Service, not ownership of anything in it.
"LinkMe", "DashAPI" and our logos are our trade marks and may not be used without our written consent. If you send us feedback or suggestions, we may use them without restriction or obligation to you. This clause survives termination.
16. Privacy
Our Privacy Policy explains what we collect, how on-device-first processing works, and the rights you and the people in your records have. OurSub-processors page lists the vendors involved. Where we process personal data on your behalf as a processor, the Data Processing Addendumapplies.
17. Third-party services
The Service integrates with services we do not control, including Apple services and, in future releases, calendar and CRM providers. Your use of those services is governed by your agreement with their providers. We are not responsible for them, for their availability, or for changes they make that affect a LinkMe feature.
18. Term, suspension and termination
These Terms apply while you use the Service. You may stop at any time by deleting your account in the application and removing it from your devices; cancel any paid subscription through the App Store first, as deleting the app does not cancel billing.
We may suspend or terminate access immediately where you breach these Terms or the Acceptable Use Policy, where we are required to by law, where we reasonably believe your use creates a legal, security or safety risk, or where payment fails. Where practical, we will give notice and an opportunity to fix a curable breach.
On termination your licence ends and you must stop using the application. You may export your data through the application before deleting your account; after deletion, retention follows clause 5 of the Privacy Policy. Clauses 7, 8, 9, 11, 15, 19, 20, 21 and 22 survive.
19. Disclaimers
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE". TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS, IMPLIED OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, SECURE OR ERROR-FREE, THAT TRANSCRIPTIONS OR AI OUTPUT WILL BE ACCURATE, OR THAT DEFECTS WILL BE CORRECTED.
Some jurisdictions do not allow these exclusions. Where that is the case, they apply only to the extent permitted, and nothing in these Terms limits mandatory consumer rights you have under local law.
20. Limitation of liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, NEITHER PARTY IS LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, PUNITIVE OR EXEMPLARY DAMAGES, OR FOR LOST PROFITS, REVENUE, GOODWILL, OPPORTUNITY OR DATA, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY.
OUR TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THESE TERMS OR THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNTS YOU PAID FOR THE SERVICE IN THE TWELVE MONTHS BEFORE THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM, OR (B) ONE HUNDRED US DOLLARS (USD $100).
These limits do not apply to your indemnity obligations under clause 21, to liability for fraud or wilful misconduct, to death or personal injury caused by negligence, or to any liability that cannot be limited by law.
21. Indemnification
You will defend, indemnify and hold harmless DashAPI and its officers, directors, employees, agents and licensors from any claim, liability, damage, loss, fine, penalty, cost or expense (including reasonable legal fees) arising from:
- Your Content, and the information you record about Contacts;
- any recording, transcription or sharing you carry out without the consent required by law;
- your breach of these Terms or the Acceptable Use Policy;
- your breach of applicable law, including privacy, wiretap, surveillance and anti-spam laws; or
- your infringement of a third party's rights.
We may assume the defence of any such claim at our own cost, in which case you will cooperate with us. This clause is not limited by clause 20 and survives termination.
22. Disputes, arbitration and governing law
22.1 Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, USA, excluding its conflict-of-laws rules and the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods.
22.2 Informal resolution first
Before starting any proceeding, contact us at support@dashapi.ai with a description of the dispute and the relief you want. Both parties will negotiate in good faith for 30 days.
22.3 Binding individual arbitration
EXCEPT FOR CLAIMS THAT QUALIFY FOR SMALL CLAIMS COURT AND CLAIMS FOR INJUNCTIVE OR EQUITABLE RELIEF TO PROTECT INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY OR CONFIDENTIAL INFORMATION, ANY DISPUTE ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THESE TERMS OR THE SERVICE WILL BE RESOLVED BY FINAL AND BINDING ARBITRATION ADMINISTERED BY THE AMERICAN ARBITRATION ASSOCIATION UNDER ITS CONSUMER ARBITRATION RULES, RATHER THAN IN COURT.Arbitration will be in English, before a single arbitrator, seated in Delaware or held remotely. Judgment on the award may be entered in any court of competent jurisdiction.
22.4 Class action waiver
YOU AND DASHAPI EACH AGREE THAT CLAIMS WILL BE BROUGHT ONLY IN AN INDIVIDUAL CAPACITY AND NOT IN ANY CLASS, COLLECTIVE, CONSOLIDATED OR REPRESENTATIVE PROCEEDING.If this waiver is unenforceable for a claim, that claim proceeds in court and the rest of this clause still applies.
22.5 Other jurisdictions
For claims excluded from arbitration, both parties submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts in Delaware. Where mandatory law in your country gives you the right to bring proceedings locally, or makes arbitration or a class waiver unenforceable against you, that law prevails to the extent required, and nothing here deprives you of mandatory local protections.
23. Apple App Store terms
- These Terms are between you and DashAPI only, not Apple. Apple is not responsible for the application or its content.
- Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the application.
- If the application fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation, and any other claim, loss, liability, damage, cost or expense attributable to a failure to conform to a warranty is our responsibility.
- Apple is not responsible for addressing claims relating to the application, including product liability claims, claims that it fails to meet a legal or regulatory requirement, and claims under consumer protection or similar law.
- Apple is not responsible for investigating, defending, settling or discharging any third-party claim that the application infringes intellectual property rights.
- You must comply with applicable third-party terms when using the application.
- Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you.
- You represent that you are not located in a country subject to a US Government embargo or designated as a "terrorist supporting" country, and that you are not on any US Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
24. General provisions
24.1 Changes to these Terms
We may modify these Terms. Material changes will be notified in the application or by email at least 14 days before they take effect, unless a change is required by law or to address a security or legal risk. Continuing to use the Service after the effective date means you accept the change; if you do not, stop using the Service and cancel any subscription.
24.2 Changes to the Service
We may add, change or remove features. If we remove a feature that a paid tier relies on, we will give reasonable notice so you can cancel before your next renewal.
24.3 Assignment
You may not assign these Terms without our written consent. We may assign them in connection with a merger, acquisition, reorganisation or sale of assets.
24.4 Notices
Send notices to us at support@dashapi.ai. We will send notices to the email address on your account or through the application. We do not accept notices by post.
24.5 Force majeure
Neither party is liable for delay or failure caused by events beyond its reasonable control.
24.6 Severability, waiver and entire agreement
If a provision is unenforceable it will be read down or severed, and the rest continues. A failure to enforce is not a waiver. These Terms, with the Privacy Policy, Acceptable Use Policy and any written agreement with us, are the entire agreement about the Service.
25. Contact
We handle all correspondence by email and do not publish a postal address.
